XCOM 2 Fatigue system is one of many additions added in expansion War of the Chosen, introducing a new way for soldiers to suffer as a result of combat.
As the name of the system suggests, you now get tired soldiers who must be rested and rotated appropriately, and learning the quirks of the system will ensure everyone remains in tip-top shape. If you need more help, our XCOM 2 War of the Chosen guide provides a breakdown on how else you can tackle the huge expansion. Fatigue levels are measured by how tired your troops are as a result of repeated drafting for missions. It's possible, due to the nature of war, for a soldier's mental fortitude to waver even if they repeatedly return from combat unscathed.
As such, soldiers may become tired after returning from a mission. This fatigue differs to XCOM 2's conventional physical wound system because tired soldiers can still be selected for battle. Being unwilling or unable to let them recuperate will take its toll on their mental state and so tired soldiers are much more likely to be adversely affected in battle by negative conditions such as being panicked or obsessed.Canvas draw line android
Negative traits are, as you'd expect, a big problem. These range from having a fear of a certain enemy type - Vipers, Robotic enemies, or even the Chosen themselves, for example - to having a fear of fire, through to more esoteric concerns such as being obsessed with having a full clip of ammo. Further failing to rest these fragile souls will lead to them potentially developing longer-term negative traits that require treatment, or suffering reduced will and becoming shaken for a couple of weeks.
Combat them by learning about each new faction with our Reaper abilities and skill treeSkirmisher abilities and skill tree and Templar abilities and skill tree pages, as well as learning about the new Challenge ModeResistance RingAbility PointsFatigue and Bonds systems. Good luck, Commander! Negative traits from Fatigue can be combated by treating the soldier in the new Infirmary room.
They'll be out for several days while they receive treatment, but they will return with any and all negative traits removed. Of course, the best way to treat negative traits is to avoid picking them up in the first place and the best way to do that is to allow your soldiers to rest and not take them out on missions when they are tired. As is ever the case with XCOM, ensure you have a healthy squad rotation to fight against fatigue and keep your soldiers in tiptop physical and mental condition.

The Super Skyranger upgrade will allow an additional 2 soldiers on alien base and Exalt HQ assaults, and an extra 4 soldiers on the final mission. To off-set the increased squad size, soldier classes have been made much more specific in their roles. Like the base game, soldiers are divided into classes.
Soldiers start out as Privates analogous to Rookieswhere they have no class, and when they progress to Specialist equivalent to Squaddie they are assigned a class. Long War allows you some control over which class the Private is assigned to; when a soldier becomes a Specialist, they will be assigned a specialism of Tactical, Weapons, Scout-Sniper, or Support.
You can then choose between the two classes for each specialism by choosing the appropriate perk:. If you don't want either of the classes for that soldier you can choose the third Random option to choose a random class of the other 6. The new classes are all designed with certain roles in mind, and they work best if they have other roles that synergize with them.
For example, a Gunner's ability to Suppress works well with an Assault, as the Gunner can pin an enemy and prevent it from overwatching while the Assault moves up for a flank. Alternatively, a Scout can draw out overwatch fire for the Assault, allowing the Assault to move up, meanwhile also checking with a Battle Scanner that the Assault's destination doesn't have extra enemies hiding nearby.
In Long War soldiers suffer from Fatigue. After finishing a mission they must rest for several days. You can deploy a fatigued soldier if you must, but then they'll receive a fatigue injury, and need a longer rest session that can't be skipped.
This is very important to how you play the game, since your roster of soldiers must be much larger to allow rotating soldiers in and out due to fatigue. Ideally, you should have several teams of soldiers ready at any given point.
This means that you can take most missions that the game will throw at you, which can sometimes be three in a row, especially if the Slingshot and Progeny DLC are activated. Try to spread the experience around, and take advantage of easier missions to get low rank soldiers - the last thing you want is for an important mission to come up and only have raw recruits ready to go.
Note that OTS upgrades are no longer tied to your highest soldier's rank. By mid-game you might seriously start to consider if some missions are worth it. When faced with shooting down a Scout or Fighter during the middle of the month, it might be wise to take a step back and think. Getting 6 soldiers fatigued for 5 days for the relatively small haul you get from a Scout might not be worthwhile. Fatigue on soldiers also highlights the importance of the S.Home Discussions Workshop Market Broadcasts.

Not because I have to let my troops rest between missions - that makes perfect sense, encourages mixing up your teams a bit instead of always using the same 6 dudes, and is something I'm already familiar with from playing Long War.
Some characters seem to get utterly exhausted very, very quickly, while others can take the same missions, the same battles, in a stride, never even breaking a sweat. I've currently got a save at the end of a mission where half the team is tired - some of them at the edge of exhaustion - but the other three are just a bit shy of 'Tired' status, and there appears to be NO WAY to actually lower their stamina before evacuating them.
Running around? Doesn't make you tired. Using abilities? Presumably, shooting at and getting shot at by aliens DOES make you tired, but that can't be all there is to it I really would appreciate some clues, 'cuz as it is, it's just driving me crazy Showing 1 - 11 of 11 comments. Last edited by BlackDragon ; 2 Sep, am.This division has been necessary to split up the duties performed by the AWS into two distinct room types that add a couple of neat new features of their own.
Meanwhile, the Resistance Ring is a completely new build type used to manage Covert Actions and increase your standing with each of the three new factions - Reapers, Skirmishers, and Templars. Here's a detailed breakdown of each new room, what it does and how to use it.
Build priority: High - as soon as the Resistance Ring becomes available, build it.19 spline dana 44
It will grant access to a mission to recruit Pratal Mox, the Skirmisherand allow you to make contact with the Templarsnot to mention a whole host of other benefits that remain important throughout the entire game. The Resistance Ring is the most important new room type, and one of the most important room types overall. It's from here that you'll conduct Covert Actions, which have a wide-range of potential benefits and adaptable counter-measures to both the Elders' Avatar Project and the Chosen's meddling.

The Ring is also where you'll manage and improve your relationships with the three new factions - Reapers, Skirmishers, and Templars - as well as gain initial access to soldiers from the latter two of those groups. With an engineer in placer, these Covert Actions typically take four to eight days depending on the stakes involved and the reward on offer. Where possible, always have a Covert Action in progress. Covert Actions typically require two soldiers to be committed to the mission, which will send them away for the pre-advised length of time.
There are often risks that a soldier might be wounded or even captured, but there are usually options to mitigate that risk by sending soldiers of a particular type, or commit some intel or supply currency to the action. Soldiers' that undertake Covert Actions together will see their bond strengthen, and can gain a host of additional one-off benefits for taking part, such as an increase of a particular stat or even an instant promotion. The Resistance Ring will also determine how many Resistance Orders you can put in place at the end of each month, which will be in effect for the duration of the following month.
Again, these are benefits that can help you react to Alien and Chosen activity or simply get ahead if you want to concentrate on a specific area. The Infirmary is used primarily to speed up the healing process of your soldiers. By staffing an engineer here you'll double the speed of healing; a vital action at all stages of the game. Booking a soldier into the Infirmary is the only way to treat them of negative traits that they may have picked up during battle, such as those from Fatigue.
Negative traits can be acquired at any time, but are particularly likely to develop if you've taken tired soldiers on to the battlefield.
Negative trait treatment takes 5 days to remove a single negative trait, and longer if the soldier is afflicted with multiple negative traits. The Infirmary can be upgraded at the cost of 80 supplies and 2 power. This installs a Hypervital Module, which can be used at the cost of 1 Elerium Core to instantly restore a soldier to full combat effectiveness, removing any wounds and tiredness and making them eligible for mission selection.

Good luck, Commander! Build priority: Low - it will take some time for soldiers to develop to the point of a level 2 bond, to gain enough AP to spend on new abilities, or to develop negative traits that need treating. Here's where you'll spend those precious Ability Points AP to teach an old soldier new tricks. How to gain and use AP is detailed elsewhere in this guide, and spending it in the Training Centre is an instantly completed process that does not require the soldier to be out of action.Mleficia 2 online
The Training Centre is also where you'll manage level 2 and level 3 bonds between soldiers. Forming these bonds requires the soldiers to be unavailable for missions, and is covered in more detail on the Bonds page of this guide. Finally, the Training Centre can be used to retrain a soldier's abilities within their current class, allowing you to choose a new configuration of abilities should you wish to do so. However, the soldier will be unavailable for five days while they retrain.

There's no way to know how much of this XCOM AP you've spent on a soldier and so you should only consider doing this if you're in dire straits or recruit a brand new soldier who has the exact same build as a current one. War of the chosen has two promotion interfaces. The old and trusted two column one and the slick new horizontal one that you get for Resistance Heroes and from the Training Centre. This mod eliminates the use of the old promotion interface for visual consistency. You must have built a Training Centre in order to buy abilities with points. Without it it will simply allow you to select rankup abilities. They don't gain a line of XCom Abilities though. Psi Operatives keep their old upgrade screen because they have their own unique promotion system.
This mod will try to look at a class' ability data and try to switch between 1, 2 or 3 abilities per rank automatically. However if that is not enough or not working as you need it you can manually override this behaviour with a. Additionally you can change the cost of specific perks for a class.
